The micro-festival, organized in cooperation with Film Europe Media Company, will introduce five emerging European female filmmakers to the audience. “Girls in Film originally started in London, with the aim of presenting the wide variety of work that is created by women, from “classic” films right through to music videos and videoart,” says Julie Zackova, producer and founder of the Prague arm of Girls in Film, which previously collaborated with event iShorts, as well as lending its support to a panel of upcoming female producers at FAMUfest.

The screening of the film will be accompanied by a debate on the current position of women in the film industry, both at home and abroad.

Girls in Film - Prague will run from 14 to 16 June.
