The Mobile Film Festival has unveiled the identity of the jury members for its 14th edition, organised in partnership with YouTube Creators for Change, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the European Union, as part of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to be held in Paris in December 2018.

Nine professionals from the film and media industries will reward the most talented directors at the Mobile Film Festival during the awards ceremony that will take place at the beginning of December in Paris. 

The jury members are as follows: Amber Heard (American actress-director), Audrey Pulvar (journalist, author and president of the Fondation pour la Nature et pour l'Homme), Caterina Murino (actress and ambassador for AMREF Flying Doctors, the first African public-health NGO), Céline Sallette (actress), Diana Zur Löwen (YouTube creator and German ambassador of the YouTube Creators for Change global project), FunForLouis (Louis Cole) (YouTube creator and English ambassador of the YouTube Creators for Change global project), Louis-Julien Petit (director), Maxime Delauney (producer and founder of Nolita Cinema) and Swann Périssé (political comedian, YouTube creator and French ambassador of the YouTube Creators for Change global project). 

The Mobile Film Festival offers one of the best-endowed cash prizes in the world. This year, five of the nine awards add up to a total value of €66,000.

The awards delivered by the jury are: the Grand Prize International (€20,000 granted by YouTube Creators for Change), Grand Prix Europe (€20,000 granted by the European Union, through The Partnership Instrument), Grand Prize France (€20,000 granted by YouTube Creators for Change), Best Screenplay (€3,000 awarded by France’s CNC), Best Director (€3,000 awarded by France’s CNC), and Best Actress and Best Actor.

The three €20,000 grants will allow the winners to make a short film with a range of professional resources and with the help of a producer over the course of one year. The CNC will offer two grants for screenwriting assistance, of €3,000 each, which go towards writers' residencies.
