The story, written by Charlène Favier and Marie Talon, revolves around 15-year-old Lyz, who has just enrolled in the prestigious skiing studies department of the Bourg-Saint-Maurice secondary school. Fred, a former champion-turned-instructor, has decided to bet all his chips on his new recruit. Spurred on by Fred’s support, Lyz throws herself headlong into her studies and goes from strength to strength. At the age of 15, you have no limits, whether they be physical or emotional. But Lyz buckles under Fred’s unyielding stranglehold. Will the explosive energy of adolescence give Lyz the strength to regain her freedom?

Produced by Édouard Mauriat and Anne-Cécile Berthomeau for Mille et Une Productions, Slalom is being co-produced by Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Cinéma, Belgium’s Panache Productions, Charlie Bus Production and Jour2Fête, which will be in charge of the French distribution and the international sales. Having been pre-purchased by Ciné+ and received backing from the CNC’s advance on receipts, the feature is being shot over a period of six weeks in Val d'Isère, Tignes, Les Arcs and Bourg-Saint-Maurice, with Yann Maritaud serving as DoP.

As a reminder, Mille et Une Productions currently has Savage State [+leggi anche:
