A great start to the year for the Parisian international sales company Stray Dogs (run by Nathan Fischer), which will be participating at the 35th edition of Sundance Film Festival (from 24 January to 4 February) and the 48th edition of Rotterdam Film Festival (23 January to 3 February), with Johannes Nyholm's Koko-di Koko-da [+leggi anche:

(special jury prize at San Sebastian in 2016), will be making its world premiere on Friday, 25 January in Park City in the World Dramatic Cinema competition, before going on to compete the following week at Rotterdam, in comeptition for a 2019 Tiger Award. Having participated at Les Arcs Film Festival's Work-in-Progress event, the new feature, written and directed by the very original Swedish director, focuses on a couple traumatised by a bereavement, who find themselves plunged into a nightmare during a night out camping in the forest... It's worth noting that Koko-di Koko-da has also be nominated for the Dragon Award for Best Nordic Film at the42nd Göteborg Film Festival (25 January to 4 February).

by the Chilean director Dominga Sotomayor (winner of the Léopard for Best Director at Locarno and also screened at Toronto) – also due to be featured in the Bright Future programme – and the horror film The Nightshifter by the Brazilian director Dennison Ramalho (who also attended Sitges and BFI London Film Festival) in the Voices section.
