scheda film] (Special Jury Prize at Locarno and due to be released in French theatres by New Story on 20 March) will be kicking off the 41st edition of the Cinéma du Réel Festival, which is due to take place at the Pompidou Centre in Paris from 15 to 24 March.
This very audacious film by a director to whom the event will also be dedicating a Focus (along with three other titles) sets the tone for the rest of Cinéma du Réel’s programme (now run by Catherine Bizern), which continues to forge ahead with documentary film in all its forms, from contemporary creations to classic docs.
The international competition will be showcasing 14 films (to be deliberated over by a jury comprised of Carlo Chatrian, Mahamat-Saleh Haroun, Nino Kirtadze and Madeleine Molyneaux), including nine European productions and co-productions: Campo [+leggi anche:
