Established in 2015 by Scam (the Civil Society of Multimedia Authors), in tandem with Ina (the French National Audiovisual Institute), the Golden Eye award, which serves to single out the best documentary presented in any of the selections of the Cannes Film Festival (the 72nd edition of which will unspool from 14-25 May), will this year be handed out by a jury chaired by French director Yolande Zauberman (currently on the cinema listings in the superb M [+leggi anche:

scheda film], which won an award at Locarno). She thus follows in the footsteps of previous jury chairs Emmanuel Finkiel (2018), Sandrine Bonnaire (2017), Gianfranco Rosi (2016) and Rithy Panh (2015).
The filmmaker will be flanked by US director Ross McElwee, French actress-director Romane Bohringer, her fellow countryman actor-director Eric Caravaca and Cuba’s Iván Giroud (from the Havana Film Festival).
