French international sales agent Playtime, which has made a habit of attending the prestigious rendezvous on the Croisette, given its regular presence in the various selections, will be rocking up at the Marché du Film of the 72^nd Cannes Film Festival (14-25 May), this time with a line-up spearheaded by two titles set to be showcased in the Directors’ Fortnight.

A man is brought back from the dead only to be sent to the living hell of the sugarcane fields. In Paris, 55 years later, at the prestigious Légion d'honneur boarding school, a Haitian girl confesses an old family secret to a group of new friends – never imagining that this strange tale will convince a heartbroken classmate to do the unthinkable… Produced by My New Pictures and Les Films du Bal, and co-produced by Arte France Cinéma, the feature will be distributed in France from 12 June onwards, courtesy of Ad Vitam.
