The story, written by the directorial duo themselves, revolves around three neighbours from a suburban housing estate in the provinces, who are grappling with the World 2.0, each in their own way: they are Marie (Gardin), the target of a sex tape that threatens to make her son lose all respect for her; Bertrand (Podalydès), whose daughter has fallen victim to bullying on social networks and at school; and Christine (Masiero), whose Uber feedback is far from glowing. Together, they decide to take up the fight and tilt at some modern-day windmills: namely, the Big Four tech companies. But even so, the struggle undertaken by these three accomplices – who are admittedly somewhat out of their depth – is a bit of a write-off even before they start!

Produced by Sylvie Pialat and Benoît Quainon for Les Films du Worso and by No Money Productions, Delete History is being co-produced by France 3 Cinéma and by Belgium’s Scope Pictures. Having been pre-purchased by France 3, Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature is also being backed by Pictanovo (of the Hauts-de-France region, where most of the six-week shoot is taking place), and by the La Banque Postale Image, Cinécap, Cofinova, Cofimage, Cinémage, Cinéventure, Indéfilms, Sofitvciné and Palatine Etoile Soficas. The French distribution will be handled by Ad Vitam, while the international sales have been entrusted to Wild Bunch.
