which took place in Locarno’s Piazza Grande last year.

Penned by Bruno Dumont, the story chronicles the frenetic life of a famous TV star and journalist who becomes caught in the trappings of celebrity and subsequently overcome by a spiral of events which ultimately lead to her downfall. Determined to leave her tragic identity behind her, she redeems herself through hard work and finds her way back to her former life; though this time she’s equipped with a sense of irony and ridicule…

Produced by Jean Bréhat and Rachid Bouchareb on behalf of 3B Productions (Dumont’s trusty partners), On A Half Clear Morning will be co-produced by Arte France Cinéma, German firm Red Balloon Film, Belgium’s Scope Pictures and Italian outfit Tea Time Film. Pre-purchased by Arte and Ciné+, the feature film will also enjoy support from Pictanovo (representing the Hauts-de-France region), the Ile-de-France region, Eurimages, and the SOFICA companies SofiCineTV and Cinémage. The eight weeks of filming will take in Paris, the Opal Coast (Hauts-de-France), Bavaria and Puglia and are set to wrap on 13 December, with David Chambille heading up photography. French distribution will be led by ARP Sélection and international sales by Indie Sales.
