Written by the director, the script is set in the near future and centres on After Blue, a chimeric virgin planet from another galaxy where only women can survive in the midst of harmless flora and fauna. Teenager Roxy frees a criminal buried in the sand. As soon as she is released, the latter coldly murders several people. Held responsible for these crimes, Roxy and her mother are cast out of their community and forced to search for the criminal to kill her…

Produced by Emmanuel Chaumet for Ecce Films (already partners on Bertrand Mandico’s first feature), After Blue is supported by an advance on receipts from the CNC, the Procirep & Angoa, the Cinémage and Cinéventure Soficas, and the Nouvelle Aquitaine region (where filming will take place, with Pascale Granel as director of photography). The film should be completed by May 2020. The French release will be handled by UFO and international sales by Kinology.
