scheda film], the first feature film from Lebanese filmmaker Mounia Akl who is about to start shooting (until the end of December) in her country, with notably in the cast her compatriot Nadine Labaki. Co-written by the director with Spanish screenwriter Clara Roquet, the screenplay centres on the Badri family who lives in idyllic isolation in the Lebanese mountains, away from the rest of the country which has been sinking in rubbish and pollution for the past 10 years. But when the government finally finds a solution, it isn’t good news for the Badris: a big landfill will be built right next to their land. While the waste of an entire country piles up at their door, hidden tensions within the family emerge and make the Badris realise that decomposition wasn’t only occurring outside their walls, but also deep within their home… Produced by Myriam Sassine and Georges Schoucair for the Lebanese structure Abbout Productions, Costa Brava, Lebanon is co-produced by the French of Cinéma Defacto, the Danish of Snowglobe Films, the Norwegians of Barentsfilm, the Swedish of Fox In The Snow and the Spanish of Lastor Media, in association with the Parisian company Gaïjin.

scheda film]) which will start shooting in early 2021 with American actress Sydney Sweeney in the cast. A road movie set in the United States à la Bonnie and Clyde, the film will be produced by Les Films de la Fusée with their compatriots of Virginie Films and the New Yorkers of The Community.
