The Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival aims to connect up-and-coming talents and established professionals from Turkey and abroad in the famous Mediterranean resort city. Running from 2-9 October, the 58th edition of the festival is being organised with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and is hosted by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. Ahmet Boyacıoğlu assumes the role of festival director and Başak Emre that of artistic director.

In the National Feature Film Competition, ten titles (from among the over 40 submitted) will be presented, with four of them set to have their world premieres at Antalya. The jury, chaired by director, producer, scriptwriter and academic Emin Alper, and comprising cinematographer Ahmet Sesigürgil, novelist Ayfer Tunç, singer-songwriter Gaye Su Akyol, actress Hazal Kaya, actor and theatre director Muhammet Uzuner, and producer, director and scriptwriter Senem Tüzen, will determine the winners across 14 categories. The prizes boast a total value of TL 770,000 (€76,000), and they include the Best Film Award and the Best First Film Award.

In addition, 12 shorts will be going head to head in the National Short Film Competition, vying for the Best Film Award and the Special Jury Prize.

Hailing from various countries, ten films will participate in the 58th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival’s International Feature Film Competition, with half of them directed by women. Polish director Dorota Kędzierzawska is heading up the jury, and the other members are actor Ali Suliman, Swedish journalist and film critic Eva af Geijerstam, French producer Guillaume de Seille, and Bulgarian actress Margita Gosheva.
