Written by the director together with Gilles Taurand (winner of the 1995 César award for Best Screenplay and nominated six other times since), the script begins in 1947. On a beach in Normandy, Madeleine, a waitress in a hotel restaurant and mother to a little boy, meets François, a rich and cultured student. The connection between them is self-evident. Such is providence. Although we already know what she wants to leave behind by following this young man, we discover with time what François is trying to escape from by entangling Madeleine’s destiny with his… It is worth noting that the story takes place over the course of 20 years.
Produced by Justin Taurand for Les Films du Bélier and by David Thion and Philippe Martin for Les Films Pelléas, Along Came Love is co-produced by France 2 Cinéma, by Gaumont (who will handle the film’s French distribution) and by Belgian companies Frakas Productions and RTBF. Pre-bought by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature film also benefits from the support of, among others, the advance on receipts of the CNC, Pictanovo, the Brittany and Ile-de-France regions, Wallimage, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the La Banque Postale Image, Cinémage and Cinécap Soficas, Proximus and Be tv. The 43 days of filming will last until 13 July in the Ile-de-France, Brittany and Hauts de France regions, with Tom Harari (nominated for the 2022 César award of his speciality for Onoda - 10 000 Nights in the Jungle [+leggi anche:
