scheda film] by Maksym Nakonechnyi with the 2022 Grand Prize, given by a jury led by actress Géraldine Pailhas (helped by Charlène Favier, Valérie Karsenti, Stéphane Foenkinos and Jean-Paul Gaultier).
Discovered in Cannes, in the Un Certain Regard section, the first feature film by the Ukrainian filmmaker also won the Best Actress award in the Basque city, given to Rita Burkovska. Butterfly Vision will be released in French cinemas tomorrow, distributed by Nour Films.

Interpreted by Benjamin Lavernhe, Julia Piaton, Bruno Todeschini, Hakim Jemili and Catherine Hiegel, In a Better World (whose script was written by the director together with Gaëlle Macé) begins on the road to Briançon when David’s car hits a young exiled chased by the police. Following his instinct, David hides him in his trunk and brings him back to his partner Gabrielle who lives with her two children. Shocked by the destiny of this adolescent, David decides to help him no matter what… The film will be distributed in France on 16 November by Tandem, and is sold internationally by Other Angle Pictures.
