The 37th Mostra de València – Cinema del Mediterrani, which will be held from 20 to 30 October, has announced all the films that will feature in its Official Selection. "This is one of the festival’s most complete and diverse official sections in recent years, both for the balance between newcomers and established filmmakers, and for the richness of the subject matter and production countries", said Gloria Tello, president of the Mostra.

, the debut film by Valencian Avelina Prat starring Karra Elejalde, Susi Sánchez and Alexandra Jiménez. The 37th Mostra de València also pays homage to Lluís Rivera, a key figure in Spanish experimental cinema, looking back over his revolutionary work; 40 essential titles from the last century with Greek production will be screened (with major names such as Theo Angelopoulos, Costa-Gavras and Michael Cacoyannis). The Focus section will be dedicated to the French filmmaker of Bosnian origin Lucile Hadzihalilovic, whose filmography will be screened during the festival, as well as that of the master Robert Guédiguian, who will receive the Mostra de València - Cinema del Mediterrani honorary award.
