Bestowed upon the best works and artists from the world of French film by foreign journalists posted in France during a ceremony which unfolded in Paris’s Forum des Images, the 28th Lumières Awards has named The Night of the 12th [+leggi anche:

by Dominik Moll Best Film of 2022. The feature film also imposed itself in the screenplay category (thanks to a script penned by the filmmaker alongside Gilles Marchand). Unveiled in the Cannes Première line-up, Moll’s movie sold by Memento International has just been released in Germany.

, a majority French production directed by Spaniard Albert Serra, which bagged itself the Best Director Lumière, the Best Photography prize (Artur Tort), but first and foremost the Best Actor trophy which went to Benoît Magimel. The latter is now the third actor in the history of the Lumières to win the title of Best Actor twice (joining the ranks of Michel Serrault and Mathieu Amalric) and the first to achieve this over a consecutive two-year period.
