Tasked with handing out the Grand Prize in the 62nd Critics’ Week, which will unspool from 17-25 May as an integral part of the 76^th Cannes Film Festival, the jury will be chaired by French filmmaker Audrey Diwan (Happening [+leggi anche:

scheda film]), who steps into the shoes previously filled by Lee Chang-dong, Bertrand Bonello, Miguel Gomes, Andrea Arnold, Ronit Elkabetz, Valérie Donzelli, Kleber Mendonça Filho, Joachim Trier, Ciro Guerra, Cristian Mungiu and Kaouther Ben Hania.

Diwan will be backed up by German actor Franz Rogowski, Portuguese DoP Rui Poças, Sundance Film Festival head of programming Kim Yutani and Indian journalist Meenakshi Shedde (also a programming advisor for the Berlinale).

The jury will decide on the winners of the Critics’ Week Grand Prize, the French Touch Prize of the Jury, the Louis Roederer Foundation Rising Star Award for Best Actor or Actress, and the Leitz Ciné Discovery Prize for Short Film.

The selection of the 2023 Critics’ Week will be unveiled online on Monday 17 April by artistic director Ava Cahen.
