) playing Olga Koklova, a Russian aristocrat, former dancer, muse and wife of the painter.

Julio Medem has stated about the project, "Minotauro, Picasso y las mujeres del Guernica is a complex story full of layers, ranging from the psychological to the sociological, from the most intimate of Pablo Ruiz Picasso's relationship with three very different women to the great political tension in Paris with Spain embroiled in a civil war and Europe trembling under the threat of German and Italian fascism.

"The story begins from the mind of a child, Picasso at the age of eight, who in the bullring in Malaga sees a bull brutally impaling a horse that screams in pain and his tender gaze is shaken. Forty years later, the Minotaur appears in his painting. The mythological figure, half man, half animal, which is the core of this story", continues the director of Vacas, Tierra and Room in Rome [+leggi anche:

. "It is also the darkness of all the subconscious life dwelling inside of Picasso when he created Guernica in the spring of 1937. And because of the powerful attraction to this representation of male bestiality, the story’s fundamental dramatic substance; Picasso's relationship with three women so different that they create a three-faced portrait of his personality," Medem concludes.

This film is being produced by the Spanish Eusebio Pacha, of Pipa Films, and the Dominican Gabriel Tineo, of Batú Films, together with the General Directorate of Cinema of the Dominican Ministry of Culture. It will be released in 2023.
