), the script centres on the events of the night of 19-20 May 2010, when five paintings were stolen from the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris. The plot tells the true story of the robbery and what happened to the stolen paintings. A fencesman quickly overtaken. A thief. And above all, a simple watch expert who doesn't yet know what he's getting into... The outlandish ups and downs of these real-life events will be explored in an offbeat, Coen-brothers-style, embellished with a critique of the increasingly absurd sums at play in the world of art.

Les Règles de l'art is produced by Christophe Barral and Toufik Ayadi on behalf of SRAB Films, and has been pre-purchased by OCS and Amazon Prime (for its second screening window). The feature film also enjoys support from the Ile-de-France region (where the film will be almost entirely shot) and from the Soficas Cinécapital et Cineventure. Filming will wrap on 22 December with photography entrusted to Julien Poupard (nominated for the 2020 and 2023 Césars in his speciality thanks to Les Misérables and Forever Young [+leggi anche:
