Penned by the director, the story for this romantic comedy revolves around Agathe who realises that her life doesn’t live up to the promises of literature. This desperately single bookseller, lost in a fantasy world, finds herself forced to fulfil her dreams of becoming a writer in order to stop messing up her love life.

Jane Austen a gâché ma vie is produced by Gabrielle Dumon on behalf of Les Films du Veyrier and Sciapode, in co-production with Pictanovo (Hauts-de-France region). The movie is pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+ and enjoys further support from the SOFICA company Indéfilms.
