Written by the director together with Anne-Louise Trividic (who was nominated for 2006’s Best Adapted Screenplay César), the story follows Claire and Yves who are trained physicists and who have always worked in the nuclear field. During a visit to the National Gallery, Claire is blown away by three Rembrandt paintings and her encounter with these three masterpieces changes her forever…

Rembrandt is produced by Alain Attal on behalf of Trésor Films, in co-production with France 3 Cinéma, Belgium’s Artémis Productions and Paris-based Zinc (who are also overseeing distribution in French cinemas). The movie has been pre-purchased by Canal+, France Télévisions and Netflix, and it also benefits from a CNC advance on receipts. The seven-week film shoot will unfold almost entirely in the Paris region (apart from a single day spent in England) with Nicolas Loir heading up cinematography. International sales are steered by Playtime.
