Produced by Curiosa Films and Waiting For Cinéma, the story is based on real-life events and revolves around a father and daughter who collaborated with the Germans in the Second World War: the journalist and press baron Jean Luchaire, who fled Sigmaringen upon France’s liberation and was later sentenced to death and executed in 1946, and his daughter Corinne, who was an up-and-coming actress between 1935 and 1940 before she was forced to halt her career for health reasons, who was briefly married to a German officer, who fled alongside her father having now become his secretary, and who was sentenced to ten years’ national indignity.
The CNC will also be backing Vie privée, the 6th feature film by Rebecca Zlotowski, who has travelled to Cannes three times (Belle épine [+leggi anche:

A documentary project has also been honoured by the 3rd advance on receipts committee: Réparation(s) by Jacques Maillot, set to be produced by What’s Up Films. The director has previously put forth three fiction feature films: Nos vies heureuses (in competition in Cannes in 1999), Les liens du sang [+leggi anche:

For its part, the CNC’s first advance on receipts committee, dedicated to first feature films, has selected four projects for support: a work of fiction (49 jours by Chinese director Hu Wei, who graduated from The School of Fine Art in Paris and from Fresnoy, and who was nominated for the Best Short Film Oscar thanks to Butter Lamp – produced by Les Films du Worso), an animated work (La petite cavale by Julien Bisaro – produced by Picolo Pictures) and two documentaries (Trois contes cruels by Sylvie Meyer, which will be produced by Les Films d’Ici, and Le cordon, steered by Grande Ourse Films).
