The Sarajevo Film Festival has announced that its 30th edition, set to run from 16-23 August, will officially open with the world premiere of Danis Tanović's new film, My Late Summer [+leggi anche:

On 16 August, the film will be screened simultaneously in Sarajevo at the National Theatre, at the Coca-Cola Open Air Cinema, at the Open Air Cinema Stari Grad and at the Open Air Cinema Centar “Safet Zajko”, and its premiere will also kick off the festival screenings in Mostar and Tuzla.
My Late Summer is a comedy-drama about a young woman named Maja who heads to a remote island to solve a family inheritance issue. In a whirlwind of new emotions, and through a series of unpredictable situations, she will finally face questions from her past. The search for inheritance becomes a search for her own identity, but also for forgiveness.
The screenplay was co-written by the lead actress, Croatia’s Anja Matković, filmmaker Nikola Kuprešanin (who also co-wrote Tanović’s previous film, Not So Friendly Neighbourhood Affair [+leggi anche:

scheda film]) and Tanović. The cast consists of regional stars such as Uliks Fehmiu, Goran Navojec, Mario Knezović and Marija Škaričić, and also includes familiar faces like Mirela Brekalo, Snježana Sinovčić, Luka Juričić, Boris Ler, Ivana Roščić and Jadranka Matković.
The crew features DoP Miloš Jaćimović, editor Redžinald Šimek, set designer Veronika Radman, costume designer Dubravka Skvrce and make-up artist Silvija Bradica.
My Late Summer is a production by Propeler Film (Croatia), co-produced by Tangaj Production (Romania), Obala Art Centar (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Baš Čelik (Serbia) and Tramal Films (Slovenia), with participation from BH Telecom. It was supported by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Sarajevo Canton, the Cinematography Foundation Sarajevo, the Romanian National Film Center, Film Center Serbia, the Slovenian Film Centre and the Creative Europe – MEDIA sub-programme for project development.
