In Hell With Ivo di Kristina Nikolova trionfa ai premi CineLink Docu Rough Cut Boutique

The Docu Rough Cut Boutique regional platform dedicated to documentary projects, organised by the Sarajevo Film Festival and the Balkan Documentary Center, announced its winners during the CineLink awards ceremony on 22 August.
Five projects at an advanced stage of editing were assessed by the Docu Rough Cut Boutique jury, made up of Hanka Kastelicová (Warner Bros Discovery/HBO), Eugen Kelemen (Avanpost), Marcel Maiga (DOK Leipzig), Catherine LeClef (CAT&Docs), Margje de Koning (Movies That Matter) and Veronika Fidrmuc Dvořáčková (East Silver Caravan Award). A total of six awards were given out at the 14th edition of Docu Rough Cut Boutique.
The Avanpost Award, worth €20,000 in post-production services, went to In Hell With Ivo by Kristina Nikolova, a US-Bulgarian co-production by LunaClipse Media and Magic Shop, focusing on Bulgarian queer artist Ivo Dimchev. In Hell With Ivo also won the HBO Award, worth €2,000, as well as the East Silver Caravan Award worth €3,500 in distribution services, given out by the Institute of Documentary Film (IDF). The Georgian-French effort Kartli by directors Tamar Kalandadze and Julien Pebrel bagged the CAT&Docs Sales Agent Award, to the tune of €2,000, while Raisa Razmerita won opportunities to present Electing Miss Santa at both DOK Leipzig 2024 and the Movies That Matter Festival.
