After revealing the line-up for its 16th edition (running 14 – 17 December – read our article) the Les Arcs Film Festival has now unveiled a significant part of its Industry Village agenda (attracting upwards of 550 participants from all over Europe) by way of a list of 18 European projects in development (hailing from 16 countries) which are taking part in the Co-Production Village, unspooling 16 to 19 December. It’s worth noting that 350 projects were submitted this year.
Standing tall amongst the filmmakers representing these 18 selected projects (which include ten first feature films, seven second feature films and, most notably, 16 titles put forth by women directors) and battling it out for the Eurimages Prize (worth 20,000 euros and up for grabs for the very first time) as well as the ArteKino International Award (worth 6,000 euros) is French-Moroccan director Sofia Alaoui, who won the Special Jury Prize in the Sundance Film Festival’s World Cinema Dramatic line-up last year thanks to Animalia [+leggi anche:
