The Ministry of Culture, through the ICAA (Film and Audiovisual Arts Institute), has completed the 2024 second procedure for the general production grants of feature-film projects for an amount of 31,683,271 euros. The total budget allocation for the 2024 call for proposals is 62 million euros, to be awarded in two procedures, equalling the allocation in 2023. In this second procedure, out of the 45 projects that applied for grants, 32 were successful. Of these, 30 are in the fiction category, one is a documentary and one is an animated film. And of the total number of beneficiaries, 14 are international co-productions that have been awarded funding worth 13,704,355 euros, representing 43.25% of the total allocation.

All the beneficiaries have secured one million euros, except for the documentary by Isaki Lacuesta and Elena Molina Flores para Antonio, which receives €820,000; Our Father, Our President, a return to fiction films for the Catalan filmmaker Manuel Huerga (Salvador (Puig Antich)) which received €958,916; and the animated film Little Bastards, made by Curro Velázquez and Manuel Sicilia, with €1,200,000.

The other titles include: Sundays by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa (multi-awarded for Lullaby and recently for her series Querer at the Forqué Awards); the romantic tragicomedy  Siempre es invierno, David Trueba’s next project (Living Is Easy with Eyes Closed, Soldiers of Salamina) who adapts his own novel Blitz for the screen; Oh Nora (produced by Ikiru Films), film directing debut of the actress Aina Clotet following the success of the series This Is Not Sweden; Ruega por nosotras by Daniel Monzón (his last film was The Laws of the Border); Después de Kim by Ángeles González Sinde (her last film was El comensal) with Adriana Ozores and Darío Grandinetti starring in the adaptation of her own novel; Mallorca Confidencial by David Ilundain (One for All), produced by Inicia Films; El profesor, finally the second feature film by Daniel Castro (Ilusión); Idols by the English Mat Whitecross (The Shock Doctrine, the series This England); Jarabo by Emilio Martínez-Lázaro (Enrique Cerezo Producciones Cinematográficas); and the comedies My Wife Is a Ghost by María Ripoll, and La Familia Benetón 2, a follow-up to the blockbuster by Joaquín Mazón.
