Dedicated to the best works and artists gracing French cinema as decided upon by international journalists based in France, and unfolding last night in a ceremony organised by the foreign press and hosted in Paris’ Forum des Images, the 30th Lumière Awards named Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez [+leggi anche:

The director also imposed himself in the Best Director and Best Screenplay categories; in fact, the film walked away with five trophies in total, since the Best Actress Lumière went to Spain’s Karla Sofía Gascón and Best Music to the duo composed of Camille and Clément Ducol. Jacques Audiard also took the opportunity to set a few new records in the history of the Lumière Awards, bagging Best Film for the 3rd time (following on from 2006 and 2019) and Best Director for the 4th (after 2010, 2013 and 2019).
