Created by Fran Carballal (Scar) and Enrique Lojo, the series comprises eight 45-minute episodes. Produced by Spanish production company Plano a Plano Bilbao in partnership with Innato, La Serie, AIE and LA-based Dynamic Television, the project marks the production company’s latest foray into high-calibre fiction.

Directed by Inma Torrente (Valeria [+leggi anche:

Her father, Félix Garay (Arias), was a notorious serial killer known as “The Diesel Killer”, a name that cast a long shadow over her childhood. Having built a picture-perfect life with her husband, Aitor, and their teenage son, Sebas, Sara’s past resurfaces when Félix is released from prison.

The drama unfolds as a string of murders eerily resembling Félix’s crimes from 25 years ago disrupts Sara’s carefully constructed world. Determined to assist the police in solving the case, Sara is blindsided by a revelation closer to home: her son, Sebas, has discovered his grandfather’s chilling history and is disturbingly fascinated by it. Sara begins to suspect that Sebas, not Félix, may be connected to the recent wave of killings, sending her on a desperate quest to uncover the truth.

The series’ producers include César Benítez, Emilio Amaré, Álvaro Benítez, Fran Carballal, Dan March and Carrie Stein, with the international distribution handled by Dynamic Television. Known for curating a portfolio of premium dramas, including titles such as Drops of God and Harry Wild, this project marks Dynamic Television’s first venture into Spanish-language content.

Netflix has secured exclusive streaming rights for Innato in Spain, underscoring the platform’s ongoing commitment to showcasing diverse, high-quality productions. César Benítez, one of the executive producers, praised the partnership, stating: “It’s wonderful to collaborate with Netflix once again as they continue to trust and support our work. Bringing Dynamic Television on board elevates Innato to an international stage, showcasing the global potential of the series.”

Dan March, co-founder and managing director of Dynamic Television, expressed similar enthusiasm: “This collaboration reflects the best in international storytelling. Innato combines gripping suspense and profound explorations of guilt, punishment and forgiveness. Its intensity and depth will undoubtedly captivate global audiences, and we are thrilled to be part of its journey.”
