Monday 29 September will see the first clapperboard slam on La Dernière patiente, the debut feature film by Rémi Bassaler, who graduated from La Fémis and who already has six short films under his belt (Garde tes larmes, Invisible, Que le ciel tombe, Un rêve chinois, L’Îlien and On vénère bien les chevaux).

Written by the director in league with Marion Defer, the story follows Judith, a retired doctor who’s the last remaining tenant in a condemned tower block. On the day she’s supposed to move out, Judith welcomes a young pregnant woman called Aïda into her home, who’s looking to get away from her partner, Damien…

Produced by Olivier Capelli on behalf of Les Idiots, La Dernière patiente enjoys support from the Grand Est region, from the Plateau de Haye district in Nancy and from the SOFICA companies Cineventure and Cinecapital.
