The MEDIMED Euro-Mediterranean Documentary Market, held in Sitges (Barcelona), has announced the 70 documentary projects selected for its 26th edition, which is being held from 9-12 October. Over the years, MEDIMED has established itself as a key meeting point for professionals from Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, facilitating co-productions, financing and international collaborations within the documentary field.
This year’s Pitching Forum brings together 22 titles exploring political, human and environmental issues, while the Anti Pitch Programme, Speedy Pitch Meetings and Co-Producers Wanted Pitch offer additional opportunities for emerging filmmakers to connect with decision makers. A new feature of the 2025 edition is the inclusion of projects from countries with developing industries, further broadening MEDIMED’s Euro-Mediterranean reach.
In parallel, the Digital Docs Gallery showcases more than 250 completed films from 50 countries, accessible to a wide range of international buyers and broadcasters, including ARTE, BBC Arabic, Al Jazeera, France TV, Movistar Plus+, NHK and SVT.
