Since 15 September, Marie Rosselet-Ruiz has been shooting her debut feature, L’une des leurs (working title), in the Hauts-de-France region. An alumna of La Fémis’ Résidence with seven shorts to her name (including Les reines du mambo, Lothar 1999 and Clear Sky), the filmmaker has cast Céleste Brunnquell (César nominee for Most Promising Actress in 2020 and 2024 via The Dazzled [+leggi anche:

scheda film]), the screenplay centres on Audrey, a young woman from Lens who dreams of escaping her lot, until she meets a group of Ultras supporters called the Carbon Boys. With them, she discovers the fervour of a new world and, gradually, the way she sees herself and everything around her begins to change - in ways she could never have imagined.
Produced by Margaux Juvénal and Alexis Genauzeau for Take Shelter, L’une des leurs (a product of The Ateliers d’Angers) enjoys backing from Pictanovo (Hauts-de-France region), the CNC’s advance on receipts scheme, and the SOFICA companies Cinémage, Cinéaxe and Indéfilms. Scheduled to run until 26 October, the shoot will take place almost entirely in Lens (with a single day in Paris and one in Belgium), with Tristan Galand (2025’s César and Lumières nominee for Souleymane’s Story [+leggi anche:
