CIIF Market has established itself as a meeting point for European producers, distributors and investors, with the aim of promoting financing and encouraging the co-production of feature films, documentaries and television series for the global market. Its director, Guillermo Ríos, states that “the Canary Islands continue to consolidate their position as a strategic enclave for international audiovisual creation, co-production and investment. Over the past 21 years, CIIF Market has made a key contribution to strengthening the creative and business fabric of the sector, serving as a bridge between Europe and Latin America and positioning the archipelago as a hub for exchange, talent and opportunity.”

The programme begins on Monday 27th with a range of professional welcome activities. On Tuesday, the Tenerife Networking Day will take place, an event organised in collaboration with the Tenerife Film Commission to bring together the local industry. It will include a panel discussion entitled “Producing in the Canary Islands: the keys to the financial machinery”, as well as visits to different locations and meetings between producers, investors and professionals.

On Wednesday, there will be video pitch sessions and one-on-one meetings, as well as an after-work event and presentation hosted by Music Library & After Effects. Thursday will feature new company presentations and the panel discussion "Case Studies: International Co-productions in the Canary Islands”, along with the screening of the film Me dicen el Panzer by Panamanian director Rodrigo Quintero Arauz.

Finally, on Friday, the closing ceremony will take place, followed by the screening of Bajo un volcán, a feature film by Hugo Martín Cuervo, shot in Tenerife. Awards will be presented to participants, including the CIIF Market Santa Cruz de Tenerife Award for the project with the greatest international projection; the Tenerife Council Award for the Canary Islands project with the greatest European projection; the Music Library & SFX Award, granting a multi-platform music synchronisation licence; the MAFIZ Award, with accreditations to participate in the industry section of the Malaga Film Festival; the Blurr Stories Award, which provides laboratory services and the delivery of professional masters; and the Térrea Award, supporting the development of sustainability plans for the selected European and Latin American projects.
