This new work by the Cantabrian filmmaker marks a shift in his career, as this time it is not another comedy, but a thriller (which is as yet untitled) in which nobody is exactly who they appear to be. The cast is led by Laia Costa (a Goya winner for Lullaby [+leggi anche:

The film is being produced for Netflix by Bambú Producciones (the company behind series such as Cocaine Coast and The Asunta Case [+leggi anche:

Set in the midst of the economic crisis, the story follows a group of thieves who burst into a Madrid bank, unleashing a series of unforeseeable events. What at first seems like just another heist turns into a game of deceit, fear and survival, where every decision counts and every gesture seems to conceal something.
“Fancy switching genre?” Ramón asked me. “I didn’t hesitate for a second before replying with a resounding 'yes',” confesses Sánchez Arévalo, “because I was eager to step out of my world and to explore other stories that hadn’t sprung from my own mind. When Ramón told me the premise, I felt it wasn’t just the perfect vehicle; it was the perfect rollercoaster to take the audience on and try to offer them an experience full of action, suspense, intrigue, bewilderment, twists and pure fun. And I’m especially happy with the cast we’ve assembled: Laia, Karra, Luis, Tamar, Álvaro and Lluís. It's a genuine dream team.”
