Awards season is opening up internationally yet again this year, and therefore, European and non-English-language films are some of the frontrunners among the nominees for the Golden Globes. The hopefuls for the 83rd edition of the awards handed out by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), the ceremony for which will take place on 11 January, have been unveiled, and even if it's a 100% US production (Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another) that's leading the race with nine nods, European co-productions follow hot on its heels.
