The Göteborg Film Festival’s TV Drama Vision, the Nordic region’s leading series conference and marketplace, returns for its 20th edition from 27-28 January 2026. Hosted at Cinema Draken and Hotel Draken in Gothenburg, the event offers a comprehensive programme exploring the evolving European television landscape, from innovative storytelling and audience engagement to sustainable production and co-financing models. Over two days, TV Drama Vision will showcase 50 series, present more than 100 speakers and welcome over 700 key industry delegates from 30 countries, strengthening its role as a platform for networking, learning and new partnerships.
This year’s edition, held under the headline “One Transformation After Another,” emphasises adaptability and resilience in a fast-changing industry. Panels, conversations and works-in-progress sessions will address the challenges of shrinking budgets, AI integration, platform diversification and the evolving role of the showrunner, providing attendees with strategies to thrive in a competitive environment.
Key international and Nordic voices will take centre stage, including James Schamus, an Academy Award-nominated producer, award-winning screenwriter and the former CEO of Focus Features, where he oversaw titles including Brokeback Mountain, Lost in Translation, Milk, Dallas Buyers Club and The Pianist [+leggi anche:

Germany has been announced as the Official Country in Focus at the upcoming Nordic Film Market and TV Drama Vision 2026. The spotlight brings a vibrant line-up of German producers, funds and key decision makers to Gothenburg, designed to forge new connections, and deepen collaboration between the Nordic and German audiovisual ecosystems.
Germany’s Katharina Eyssen, the Emmy-winning showrunner of Netflix’s global hit The Empress, will discuss creative leadership, the evolution of the showrunner role in Europe, and strategies to navigate intense competition and platform demands. The session will be moderated by Marike Muselaers.
Ten projects have been selected for the Coprocity Development Award, presented by the professional platform Coprocity in partnership with Cineuropa (see the news). The fourth recipient of the award will be announced by Cineuropa on 29 January at the Nordic Film Market.
Finally, the 2026 edition of TV Drama Vision presents a curated selection of 15 series projects in development, representing 13 countries. The line-up includes eight Nordic projects alongside seven European ones, reflecting the festival’s commitment to cross-border collaboration and innovative storytelling.
