In the aftermath of Nazi Germany's defeat, President Harry S Truman (Guy Pearce), Prime Minister Winston Churchill (Jared Harris) and Soviet leader Joseph Stalin (Merab Ninidze) converge at the Potsdam Conference to shape the future of Europe and the wider world. Each man has a personal and political agenda. Newly appointed Truman needs to end the War with Japan. Churchill is facing a pivotal election back home. Stalin has territorial ambitions for occupied territories. As political tensions rise and personal crises unfold, a high-stakes diplomatic chess game emerges. The three leaders’ decisions and balance of power will impact millions and shape global politics for decades to come. The film is produced by Raccoon Features (Germany), Muse of Fire Productions (UK), Salloway Studios (USA) and Spark Productions (USA), in association with Ingara. SND are co-producing the movie and will also release it in France.
The EFM will also see the SND team led by Ramy Nahas selling Le Fantôme de l’Opera by Alexandre Castagnetti, When the Night Falls by Daniel Auteuil and God Bless this Mess by Mohamed Hamidi, all on a promo reel basis, as well as Crazy Heart by Axel Courtière based on a trailer. The firm will also showcase footage from Albert Pereira Lazaro’s animated film Kittened. The market screening slate, meanwhile, features Bazaar (Murder in the Building) [+leggi anche:
