Filming will begin on 16 March for 16 mesures, the first feature film by Yvan Georges-Dit-Soudril, who has previously directed the short films Samuel, Le syndrome de Cushing and Rail.

scheda film] and recently in Hearts on Fire) and Suzanne Jouannet (nominated in 2024 for a César and Lumière award for The Path of Excellence, and also seen in Hearts on Fire) and South Korean actress Dasom Kim.

Written by the director and Julien Graber, the screenplay centres on Khalil, a 19-year-old homeless delinquent and rapper who dreams of a future in music. Recently in a relationship with Paloma, he decides to claim paternity of the baby girl she gives birth to, even though she is not his. Just as musical opportunities begin to open up for him, Paloma disappears, leaving Khalil alone with the baby. With nothing to support this life, Khalil struggles to fulfil his responsibilities as a father, even if it means jeopardising his musical dreams...

16 mesures is produced by Jessica Rosselet for Leto Films (the Paris-based company's first feature film) and by Autopilot Enterainment, and co-produced by Pulsion Productions (Véronique Zerdoun). Pre-bought by Ciné+ OCS and W9, the feature film also benefits from advance funding from the CNC, the Ile-de-France region, Sacem (via aid for the production of musical audiovisual works) and Sofica Cofimage, Imagellium and Impact. The six weeks of filming will take place in Île-de-France with Fabio Caldironi as director of photography. International sales will be handled by Films Boutique (the German subsidiary of the French group Playtime) and distribution in French cinemas will be handled by KMBO.
