The Málaga Festival Fund & Co Production Event (MAFF) is being held within MAFIZ - Málaga Film Festival Industry Zone from 9-13 March, during the 29th edition of the Málaga Film Festival. The forum seeks to collaborate on the process of developing an innovative form of Ibero-American cinema, with content that raises awareness, prompts reflection on the changes being sought in the world and helps build inclusive, collaborative societies.
MAFF is a space that fosters artistic, financial and innovation growth, and boosts the visibility of projects, building a network of contacts, increasing the chances of financing and promoting an effective communication space that facilitates dialogue between production companies, producers and professionals from the global audiovisual industry. To this end, it offers training activities, mentoring and business matchmaking, which will contribute to striking deals that will enable the future financing of the 27 selected projects, listed at the end of this article, as the event brings together the main international co-production funds in the city of Málaga.
Among the participants are La hija bastarda, the feature-length directorial debut by Spanish actress Olivia Delcán (known for titles such as Isla bonita [+leggi anche:

Among the Latin American projects are Aquí me bajo yo, a family drama by Chilean helmer Matías Bize (In Bed, The Memory of Water [+leggi anche:

During the in-person days, MAFF offers the professional teams behind the projects a space to connect with key figures from the global audiovisual industry, with whom they will be able to interact in order to seek out new technological solutions as well as to develop new initiatives across the various sections that make up the Málaga-based audiovisual market. All of those selected will become part of an international promotional catalogue that MAFF has created to promote the content and the teams, with the aim of facilitating the search for financing and introducing new content to the industry and audiences interested in Ibero-American cinema.
