The 24th iteration of the Cyprus Film Days International Festival (CFD), the official competitive festival of Cyprus, is scheduled to take place from 17-25 April. Concurrently, the seventh edition of Dot.on.the.map Industry Days, the gathering’s co-production, training and networking platform, will run from 23-25 April in Limassol. CFD is an institutional event of the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture, organised by the Department of Contemporary Culture in collaboration with the Rialto Theatre. Cypriot film producer and director Danae Stylianou is heading up Dot.on.the.map Industry Days.

The professionally orientated event offers a chance to connect with industry experts from Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, enabling participants to explore co-production and distribution prospects, engage in discussions about forthcoming projects, and foster cross-border partnerships. During the event, ten teams comprising producers and directors from Mediterranean nations will present their latest feature-length film projects to representatives of the global film industry. The pitching session is scheduled for 24 April at 10:30 am at the Rialto Theatre. The Dot.on.the.map Meeting Point co-production forum is implemented in partnership with the Thessaloniki International Film Festival’s Agora.

An international jury comprising producers Carlo Cresto-Dina (Tempesta), Anamaria Antoci (Tangaj Production) and Hugo Rosák (head of the Industry Office, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival) will decide on the winners of this edition.

Complementing the pitching activities, the Cinema Talks strand offers a series of targeted discussions and info sessions addressing key aspects of the contemporary film landscape. Topics range from funding mechanisms, such as the Cyprus Minority Co-productions Scheme and co-producing opportunities with Bulgaria, to broader creative and strategic considerations. Panels will explore the role of screenwriting labs in project development, the challenges of literary adaptations for the screen and the evolving position of institutions such as the European Film Academy, alongside offering practical guidance on accessing Creative Europe – MEDIA support. The programme is designed to provide filmmakers with both industry insight and practical tools to navigate the international co-production environment.

Accreditation for Dot.on.the.map Industry Days is open to film professionals. While participation is free of charge for those based in Cyprus, international attendees are required to obtain a market badge, which grants access to all Industry Days activities and events. The deadline for accreditation requests is 15 April, with applications to be submitted via the official Cyprus Film Days platform.
