Nine as-yet unreleased works, hailing from eight countries, will be duking it out for the Best Immersive Work Award at the 79th Cannes Film Festival. The competition will unfold from 12-22 May at the Carlton Hotel and will make use of a technical solution that allows group screenings involving up to 200 participants to be organised.

“From large-scale video projection to virtual reality works, this selection showcases the vitality of an evolving art form – one that constantly reinvents how stories are created, shared and experienced,” say the festival’s representatives.
