La bestia nel cuore, directed by Cristina Comencini and distributed by 01 Distribution has just earned 1,050,000 euros in just four days on the screen. This figure is the highest ever reached by an Italian film in competition in Venice, where the lead actress, Giovanna Mezzogiorno, has just won the Volpi Cup. This was in fact one of the largest productions presented this year at the Mostra, in or out of competition.
It is estimated that the film will eventually earn over four million euros.
