The ICAM has just announced support of 650.000€ to Oliveira's new project, which will be produced by Filbox Produções Audivisuais. Miguel Cadilhe, who also produced Magic Mirror (the first film by Oliveira in over 20 years not to be produced by Paulo Branco), assumes once again the production of the film, which is due to be shot in France in 2006.

Manoel de Oliveira's Magic Mirror, whose international sales are handled by First Hand Films, premiered at the last Venice Film Festival (read the article). The film is currently in competition in the 31st Huelva Iberian American Film Festival, where the 96 year old director will be awarded the City of Huelva Prize (Premio Ciudad de Huelva) in recognition of his long and fruitful career.
