film profile], the prolific UK filmmaker will move on to his next project, set to start shooting at the end of June on location in Genova as well as Boston, with post-production taking place in the UK.
“Genova has attracted a high calibre cast, which is testament to the creative vision of director Michael Winterbottom and his producing partner Andrew Eaton. It is a contemporary ghost story, a poignant tale of love and forgiveness, remarkable and heartwarming,” said Tim Haslam, CEO of Dreamachine, who is handling world sales.
Produced by Revolution Films with backing from Film4, the film was just awarded £500,000 from the UK Film Council’s New Cinema Fund
