), the story revolves around Sandra, a young woman forced to leave the South of France to flee her violent husband. With no ties, she returns to Boulogne-sur-Mer, the city where she spent her childhood, which she left almost 15 years ago. There, she is reunited with her mother and a whole world she left behind. Penniless, she lands a job in a fish canning factory, where she befriends two of her fellow workers. But one day, after one of her colleagues vehemently accosts her, she defends herself and accidentally kills him...

Produced by Matthieu Tarot for Albertine ProductionsRebels is being co-produced by France 3 Cinéma, has been pre-purchased by Canal+ and has secured backing from Pictanovo. The shoot will take place in Paris and the Ile-de-France region until 3 April before shifting to Boulogne-sur-Mer for three weeks. The French distribution and international sales will be overseen by Le Pacte
