), the story centres around night-shift doctor Mikael. Between two patients living in challenging areas, he cares for those whom no-one else will see: drug addicts, homeless people... His life is in tatters, not helped by his pharmacist cousin who gets him to write fake prescriptions for Subutex. One night, he decides to break free from this mess and build himself a new life. But the price to pay will be high…

A Night Doctor is produced by Georges Bermann on behalf of Partizan Films, and is co-produced by Domino Films. Pre-purchased by OCS and Ciné+, the feature film also enjoys the support of the Ile-de-France region and the SOFICA companies Cinécap and Cinéaxe. The five-week film shoot will roll on until 17 January, with David Chizallet (who worked on Elie Wajeman’s first two feature films and was César nominated within his speciality in 2016 for Mustang [+see also:
