Penned by Pascal Elbé, the story centres around fifty-something Antoine who discovers he’s lost much of his hearing. Unable to own up to his disability, the history teacher resigns himself to living in his bubble, though his entourage finds his behaviour increasingly odd. Meeting Claire, however, a widow and a mother to a little girl who has stopped speaking, will encourage him to open himself up to the world…

Produced by Philippe Rousselet and Eric Jehelmann on behalf of Jerico, by Alexis Cohen on behalf of Père et Films, and by the director Pascal Elbé himself, Hear Me Out is co-produced by France 3 Cinéma, with French distribution in the hands of Diaphana and international sales steered by France Télévision Distribution.
