Muntean is reteaming with his regular writing partners, Răzvan Rădulescu and Alexandru Baciu, to tell a story about a group of people on a humanitarian mission, who arrive in an isolated region in Transylvania to gift the locals various goods. Besides a few quarrels and conflicts among the members of the group, all seems to go well for Maria (Maria Popistaşu) and Dan (Alex Bogdan), who share a car in the convoy. But not long after they happen upon a disorientated local and try to help him, things will go awry…
The production budget amounts to circa €1.35 million, with a little over half of the total budget coming from the Romanian National Film Center. The shoot took place in the Apuseni Mountains in November and December 2020. Tudor Panduru (Graduation [+leggi anche:

Given that the story is set in an isolated place, we asked Muntean if Întregalde was born of the difficulties generated by the pandemic, but he says that he had been thinking about the film’s topic for years. “The first location scouting for this film took place in 2012 […] Indeed, logistically, the movie is COVID-safe; it would have been much more difficult to shoot a feature in Bucharest.” About the topic, Muntean says that he wanted a feature that “contextualised generosity, exploring the role of altruism in us growing as people. Starting with this idea, I wrote the screenplay together with Răzvan Rădulescu and Alexandru Baciu. During the shoot, because locals played some important characters and because nature changed some parts of the story, the film acquired nuances that we didn’t anticipate at the very beginning.”
The production team is currently looking for a world sales company and a Romanian distributor.
