13/04/2023 - Molly Manning Walker, Baloji, Thomas Cailley, Delphine Deloget, Stéphanie di Giusto, Kamal Lazarq and the duo João Salaviza - Renée Nader Messora shine in the lineup

Sudan, Morocco, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Belgium, Australia, Singapore, Mongolia, Iran, South Korean, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Canada, the UK and France: with 17 films unveiled today together with the entire Official Selection (read the article), the Un Certain Regard section of the 76th Cannes Film Festival (16 to 27 May) promises to be a globe-trotting one.

Dedicated to emerging talents (eight feature debuts are selected) the section nevertheless includes several established names, such as Australia’s Warwick Thornton (winner of the 2009 Golden Camera in Cannes and of the Special Jury Prize in Venice in 2017 — his new film stars Cate Blanchett), Argentina’s Rodrigo Moreno (in competition in Berlin in 2006 and 2011), Iran’s Alireza Khatami (winner of the award for Best Screenplay in the Orizzonti section in Venice in 2017 with Oblivion Verses [+see also:
