As of 27 May, Alice Douard has been shooting her first feature, Love Letters. Penned by the director herself, the story revolves around 32-year-old Céline who is awaiting the arrival of her first child. But Céline isn’t actually pregnant. It’s her wife Nadia who’ll be giving birth to their daughter in the three months’ time…
Love Letters is produced by Marine Arrighi De Casanova on behalf of Apsara Films, in co-production with Les Films de June and France 2 Cinéma. Pre-purchased by Canal+, Ciné+ and France Télévisions, the feature film also enjoys support in the form of an advance on receipts from the CNC, as well as backing from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, the Gironde department, Bordeaux Métropole and the SOFICA companies Indéfilms and Cinécap.
