film profile]) is loosely inspired on the homonymous novel by Fabio Marcotto, and tells the story of Giovanni Cuttin, the most important and respected Italian wine-writer, chief editor of Baccus, the sector’s most prestigious monthly.
His life is divided between public tastings, conferences and presentations of his autobiographical book. One day, he meets a mysterious and very beautiful woman who will lure him into a whirlwind with no exit, with a re-flourishing enigmatic past, Marzemino chalices and echoes of Mozart’s Don Giovanni. The original score will be written by the trumpeter Paolo Fresu.
